Special Education & 504 Services
Hollister Charter School, District #647 offers, free of charge, special education and 504 services to those students who meet federal and state requirements. All information regarding a student’s ability level is confidential and protected through the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). If you have questions about the programs and referral process, please contact the school office.
Child Find Notice
Hollister Charter School is committed to the location, identification, and evaluation of all children with disabilities within our jurisdiction, from ages 3 through 21, who may need special education and related services. This includes children who are:

- Attending public or private schools.
- Highly mobile, such as migrant or homeless children.
- Suspected of having a disability, even if they are advancing from grade to grade.
What is Child Find?
Child Find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) that requires states to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities who are in need of special education and related services.
How to Request Help:
If you have concerns about your child’s development—including speech, movement, behavior, or learning skills—please contact our school office. We provide screenings and evaluations at no cost to families to determine if a child is eligible for services.
